The sound of music
We are very fortunate to have so much entertainment. There is always people from the community coming to share their talents with us! Its always amazing to me the power that music has, no matter the disability or the level of dementia music can unlock memories and bring so much happiness!

While dancing from a wheel chair a resident said "my dad would be laughing his head off, he was such a good dancer! And ohhhh you should have seen my mom dance!"
She always talks of the day's her mom and dad would move the furniture in the dining room and they would salt the floor and have the neighbours come over to dance the night away.

Bowling
It was a great morning with so many residents in the lounge bowling. It is always the best to see how something so simple as getting a strike can bring such happiness!!

Fall art gala
Our 2016 art gala was a success!!! The art was amazing this year!!! It is always an event that makes me so emotional I love when people from the community see the beauty in our residents that we see all the time. Every year people leave with treasured art work and treasured memories!!
Ladies Club
We celebrated our beautiful gramas tonight! We had fettigini Alfredo with Caesar salad and cheese cake for dessert! Hopefully they all forgot about the way too early heavy snow fall for awhile! Thank you to our volunteer Shania for singing to us!!!

Hard at work
We are having our first fall trade show at the end of the month and our residents are getting ready. We are turning old pallets into wine/book shelves.
